Casa Colibrí has a 3-night minimum stay. Some peak dates and holidays require 4–5 nights. The booking calendar shows the exact minimum for any dates you select.

Standard check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Casa Colibrí uses a smart lock system, so you can check in independently any time after 4 PM. Scott is happy to accommodate early check-in or late checkout when possible — just ask in advance.

The community pool at our private gated neighborhood is open June through October, weather permitting. It's a short walk from Casa Colibrí and a lovely amenity for summer stays. Outside those months, it is not available, but Ten Thousand Waves is open year-round just 10 minutes away.

We love animals, but unfortunately pets are not permitted at Casa Colibrí. This applies to all pets including dogs, cats, and other animals. If you have questions about this policy, please reach out to Scott directly before booking.

The standard cancellation policy is Moderate: full refund for cancellations made more than 5 days before check-in; 50% refund for cancellations made 2–5 days before check-in; no refund for cancellations within 48 hours. Please review the specific policy at booking for your dates.

Santa Fe sits at approximately 7,000 feet elevation — noticeably higher than most US cities. Some guests experience mild altitude adjustment (mild headaches, slight breathlessness) in the first 24 hours. Casa Colibrí has a humidifier to help, and Scott recommends drinking extra water, limiting alcohol the first day, and taking it easy on arrival. Most guests adjust fully within 24–48 hours.

Yes. Casa Colibrí is a split-level home with exterior steps up to the front entrance and interior stairs between the living area and the bedroom levels. The house is not wheelchair accessible, so guests with limited mobility should keep this in mind before booking.
